Donated personal care items

Some of the ways donations have assisted families:

  • A single mom who has diabetes, and undergoes dialysis, has a son who is also diabetic. Funds helped the family to purchase the proper nutrition for their health condition, since many foods from the food bank aren't appropriate for their needs.
  • A single dad raising 2 middle school sons. Funds helped buy underwear, socks, and a microwave, so that his sons could heat up food while he worked. Dad works nights and worried about the children using the stove and forgetting to turn it off.
  • A single dad with health issues is raising a son with developmental differences. Funds helped the family to buy groceries, gas and "soft" clothing. His son has sensory processing disorder.
  • A family, whose parents lost their jobs due to COVID, had housing damage from recent severe weather making their trailer uninhabitable. Funds helped towards immediate, emergency repairs, allowing the family to remain in their home.
  • Countless families who never needed help before COVID have received a hand up with personal care items, supplemental food, clothing for their children, and other unmet basic needs.
